LBP AM announces the appointment of Grégoire Docq, CFA, Absolute Return Credit Fund Manager and Gilles Seurat as Absolute Return Fixed Income Fund Manager.

These two recognised professionals will strengthen LBP AM’s expertise in absolute return strategies and will contribute both to the management of existing successful solutions and to the development of new strategies across rates and credit markets.

Comprising six portfolio managers and ten analysts and strategists, the Absolute Return division currently manages more than €2.5 billion in assets. It is one of the cornerstones of LBP AM’s value-added fixed income expertise, which represents €12 billion in assets under management. Led by Brice Perin, this specialist team operates on a collaborative management approach, supported by a broad ecosystem of expertise and a wide range of proprietary tools. Against a backdrop of growing demand for diversification, accelerating the development of this expertise is one of the LBP AM Group’s strategic priorities.

Grégoire Docq, CFA, brings with him nearly 20 years of expertise in Fixed Income markets, primarily gained at Murex, Natixis Asset Management and Allianz Global Investors, where he served from 2016 to 2026 as Credit Total Return Portfolio Manager and European High Yield Credit Portfolio Manager. As a specialist in quantitative analysis, he has also built up solid expertise in issuer analysis and portfolio construction. Furthermore, Grégoire has extensive experience in trading on the High Yield bond and CDS markets. Grégoire Docq holds an engineering degree from CentraleSupélec, a Master of Science from University College London and the CFA certification in ESG Investing.

Gilles Seurat has 20 years of experience in the Fixed Income segment. Previously Head of Total Return Fixed Income Management at Montpensier Arbevel, Gilles Seurat began his career in 2006 at La Française des Placements in the alternative multi-management division, before being appointed Manager of Cross-Asset Total Return (2011) and subsequently Manager of Total Return Fixed Income (2017). Gilles Seurat graduated from the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, specialising in actuarial science at the ISFA (Institut de Sciences Financières et d’Assurance).

“I am delighted to welcome Gilles Seurat and Grégoire Docq, whose proven expertise will strengthen our highly technical bond management.  This investment approach requires precise management skills, underpinned by four pillars: resilience, agility, security and diversification. Their expertise will help accelerate our growth trajectory within our value-added Fixed Income division,” said Brice Perin, Co-Head of the Multi-Asset, Rates & Credit Specialties division at LBP AM.
